PACKSHED CREW

- SEASONAL/PART-TIME POSITION -

 

Soleil’s Farm, a Certified Organic mixed vegetable market garden, is hiring for our Packshed Crew.

 

This is a part-time, seasonal position ideal for someone interested in learning more about working on an organic farm and being part of a kick-ass team!

 

In order to ensure the proper functioning of the farm, this position requires a strong team commitment and a dedication to clear, kind communication.  

 

The work is repetitive and fast-paced, and we are looking for team members who are meticulous and take pride in their work. The work is done indoors, so if you're looking for a farm experience that's out of the elements, this could be the position for you.

 

Folks with kitchen experience are encouraged to apply!

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Seeding 

  • Washing greens & roots

  • Packing produce for restaurants, retail stores, and CSA

  • Ensuring high quality standards are maintained

  • Maintaining a neat & sanitized work station 

  • Other tasks as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines 

  • Basic problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable with repetitive motion

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Able to understand and follow oral and written work instructions

  • Ability to work effectively with a packing team as well as independently

  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide

  • Has a great sense of humour;

  • Values community, good food and playfulness!

SUPPLEMENTARY EMPLOYMENT DETAILS:

  • Seasonal part-time position (15-20 hours/week from May to October)

  • Schedule is 1 pm to 5 pm, Monday to Friday

  • Wages will reflect the candidate’s skill set and range from $16.50 - $20.00/hour

  • Work location: Soleil’s Farm - 891 South Melville Rd., Bonshaw, PE, C0A 1C0
